What's there NOT to do in Santa Cruz? My husband and I visited this exciting coastal city during Christmas 2023. It will forever be one of my most memorable. Just a 2.5 hour drive from the Fresno area, Santa Cruz has it all. Our 4-day weekend was plenty of time to have fun at the iconic Boardwalk, ride the steamtrain at Roaring Camp Railroads, hike the peaceful, lush redwood forest trails of Henry Cowell State Park, and watch a glorious Christmas Eve California coast sunset.
