      Carmel-by-the-sea

This charming, dog friendly coastal community is my favorite seaside escape! Also referred to as simply Carmel, the quaint downtown area is painted with colorful cottage flowers and connected by Monterey Cypress canopy alleyways. Most of the restaurants and shops are all dog friendly, too! Carmel Beach is pristine and vast and mostly uncrowded except for happy dogs, surfers, people strolling the sandy shoreline and sunset lovers.
